From all corners of the globe, these innovative organisations have a shared mission to tackle society’s most pressing issues, at scale.

The 100x team has welcomed its inaugural cohort of social ventures at the London School of Economics (LSE). The cohort of visionary pioneers is in London for a week as part of 100x’s 12-week programme. Here, they will work with our partners and community of Multipliers to hone their scaling, impact measurement and fundraising strategies.

From all corners of the globe, these innovative organisations have a shared mission to tackle society’s most pressing issues, at scale. Spanning the themes of climate change, education, health and social care to name a few, this stellar group of founders and their teams are relentless in taking impact to the next level. Afya Pamoja is reshaping the healthcare sector in Tanzania by amplifying the voices of citizens to influence decision-making. Darsel is a Jordanian start-up using AI to light the path for students to conquer the world of mathematics. Gramhal is mobilising digital solutions that empower agricultural communities in India. Taleemabad is sculpting a brighter future for children in Pakistan through superior curriculum design, while Unlocked Labs is crafting a new beginning for those who’ve faced incarceration in the USA– opening doors to a world of possibilities for them.

Karya is on a path to becoming a leading ethical data company while enabling rural communities in India to access a much-needed income. Labhya is institutionalising programmes that improve the quality of education and well-being for children, and Rocket Learning has leveraged India’s increasing smartphone and internet penetration to develop an innovative WhatsApp-based solution that connects the government education system with parents and communities.

Nell Lemaistre, 100x’s Head of Programme, said: “It’s almost surreal to finally kick start this exclusive journey with such a remarkable group of founders. We aim to catapult these ventures towards becoming unicorns in the social impact space. We do this by bolstering their strategies for scale and connecting them with a powerful network of advisors, supporters, and potential funders.”

Over the course of 12 weeks, the ventures will evolve and test their strategies through facilitated workshops, expert support, and peer-to-peer learning. Each venture will also work with a curated group of dedicated mentors, experts, and connectors with deep sector expertise to gain insights, test new solutions and grow their network. This epic journey will culminate in our end-of-year celebration event: Summit Day. Summit Day will be a dynamic platform where the cohort will showcase their innovative solutions to a far-reaching impact community of supporters, experts, potential partners and impact-first funders.

Helga Mutasingwa, co-founder of Afya Pamoja, said: “This is a remarkable opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from each other’s experiences, and collectively brainstorm sustainable pathways to scale. As we embark on this journey with 100x Impact Accelerator, I am confident that the insights gained and the connections formed will propel Afya Pamoja towards greater impact.”
